After having carried out the work, it only needs to be acknowledged in the system. The system will then automatically convert the actions into the actual status.
The bulk import function permits mass admission of animals by means of animport function rendered by a prepared MS-Excel spreadsheet. During the import, the admitting screen, the reason for admission and the admission data can be specified. Subsequently Transponder TagsIDs can be edited as well as ear tags are assigned according to sequential order or a statistical method, which prevents the grouping of certain ear tag numbers. In the process, the present setting always separates male and female animals and places them in empty cages (cage positions).
In addition, ambiguity of ear tags in one cage is excluded during import. Other import rules like placing only mice of the same colony in one cage can be customised. Additional information, such as strain, line, genotype and phenotype, can also be set for the animals prior to the actual admission. Subsequently, the case numbers are allocated and the animals are admitted. A balancing number from an order spreadsheet can be entered prior to the import in order to compare the number of mice imported with the number of the source.
