Cage Explorer (GCRS)

Cage_Explorer

The Cage Explorer is used to carry out animal processes, such as admission to cages or transfer, move, culling and discharge, for individual animals or for complete cage contents by means of cut and paste between cage positions.

With respect to handling, the Cage Explorer is identical with the MS-Windows Explorer.

A chip reference with a unique cage number can be scanned and assigned to the cage position containing the animals. Outside of a rack a cage cannot contain animals. In addition, the cage cards can also be provided with different colours in order to be able to further specify them.

The cage management system also permits a search for free cage positions or free places in a cage assigned to a cage position. In addition, certain animals can be searched and displayed in their cage positions.
