SQLBase satisfies all needs of small and medium-sized customers. Upon request some other databases can also be supported by so-called database ports (or migrations). Ports to Oracle and Sybase can be provided today already. Porting to Microsoft Sql Server is coming soon.

Migrating GHS/GCRS database from SQLBase to Sybase

Migrating the GHS database from SQLBase to Sybase requires two operations:

  • Creation of the database structure in Sybase.
  • Migration of the data from SQLBase database to Sybase database.

We offer two utilities to perform these operations:

  • Structure Creation Utility (SybSchemaCreator.exe).
  • Data Migration Utility (Migrator.exe).

The whole process of migrating the database is divided into three parts:

  • Creation of tables and views in Sybase database.
  • Migration of the data from SQLBase database to the Sybase database.
  • Creation of other objects in the Sybase database (referential integrity constraints, stored procedures and triggers).

The utilities are wizard-like programs. Screenshots are rendered below.
