In the last two years a professional IT-system has been successfully setup which handles the whole range of informations generated in the GMC. This encludes the full animal breeding, genealogy, facility and workflow management, the generation of cage cards and worklists as well as the management of phenotype result data. All kind of data except for digital images and experimental raw data are stored in a central database. A central file server stores images and videos and links them to them to the database.
